MY SPIRIT TO CREATE A BETTER WORLD

    My name is M. Asfar Syafar, I am 16 years old and soon I will get my seventeen birthday. Well, soon I'll be ready to have an NRIC, where the rights and obligations as a citizen I need and must be met. I just went up to class 12 Senior High School in Indonesia, a country in Southeast Asia that are inhabited by 206 million people with the different background, customs, racial, ethnic, linguistic and religious groups. However, we remain a national semboyang and peace in our country that is "Bhineka Tunggal Ika" ("Diversity remains one")

     However, recent issues of politics and the economy began to undermine the peace that already exist and divide the brotherhood among us, especially after the rise of terrorism are extremely detrimental to society. I’m still remembered in my mind when a few months ago, my country is being slammed by the issue of terrorism is detrimental to national security and disturb my country. What's more terror attacks brought the name of a certain group and undermine the unity of the ummat of religion in Indonesia. These terrorist attacks had raised fears and made people nervous to working their daily activities. Not only in my country, but almost all over in the world especially in the Middle East region there was the upheaval of the heat and make a very big fear for the world's population. Children, women, even elderly parents were murdered and be the victimized. Yet we should come together and hold hands to create peace in this world. I feel that we have to make changes, yeah make a CHANGES. A change to create a better life, a life who can bring us the change towards progress in the future!

    I'm just a kid from an ordinary economic backgrounds who live isolated on an island far from the capital city Jakarta, so it is very difficult for me to say what my role and contribution to creating a better world. However, if I recall what a mess and destruction of the world today, so I always have a fiery spirit to create peace and change in this world. I still remember when I was six years old, my parents always said "be a better person than what parents can do". Yes, and I made it as a vision in my life. My parents are just a small trader selling goods on the market overhang, and I don’t want to suffer the same fate as them. I thought I should make changes in my family, I have to have a better future than my parents, and I have to change it from myself.

    I was so excited when I entered in one of the famous school in my town, and I am more excited again when through my first contest event, although at that time I haven’t be the winner but I'm still excited. After that I’m write more often and following the contest at the national level. And the result I was able three times to the capital city Jakarta with hard work and spirit I have. I think that the spirit is the most precious thing I have. I dare to make changes and create a better future with the encouragement, and I already implement it in my family environment. Yeah, one thing is important if we want to create change for the better by creating a spirit of determination and belief in our heart of nature, seeing the environment around us, and strive to contribute to the slightest of social conditions in the environment around us. I am sure that every person must have the spirit to change the world, but just a little person realized that to be a reality. And I'm sure the spirit will make us willing to take a small step that would create a major change towards progress. And most importantly is that we all as citizens of the earth should join hands, forming a large and powerful union and take steps to make such changes.

    We don’t know exactly when the world will be well-peaceful and prosperous, but we have to do to wait for that day is to keep our spirit to dare to make a changes. Share it with others, apply it in our lives, and make this spirit as a positive change that will create happiness in our lives.

    SPIRIT is the most precious thing I have, and I am confident with my spirit can make a changes, make changes to create a better earth. Let's keep our passion for creating a better world people !!!
